About Chris Drysdale

Trader. Educator. Founder of Drysdale Trading Group.

Chris Drysdale is a full-time futures trader, trading educator, author, and founder of Drysdale Trading Group. He is best known for developing the VWAP Wave System, a structured trading methodology built around auction market theory, VWAP, market context, volume profile, and disciplined execution.

Chris did not build Drysdale Trading Group to be another signal room or hype-driven trading community. His goal is simple: help traders understand what the market is doing, why it is happening, and how to make better decisions with structure, risk control, and consistency.

After years of trading, studying market behavior, and experiencing the emotional highs and lows that come with active speculation, Chris became focused on one core belief:

Most traders do not fail because they lack information. They fail because they lack structure, discipline, and a repeatable process.

That belief became the foundation of everything he teaches.

From Market Frustration to Trading Structure

Like many traders, Chris learned early that randomness, overconfidence, emotional decision-making, and poor risk control can destroy an account quickly. His own journey through trading losses, trial and error, and hard-earned lessons shaped the way he teaches today.

Rather than relying on predictions, indicators alone, or blind setups, Chris developed a trading framework centered around context.

The VWAP Wave System teaches traders how to read the market through balance, imbalance, value, price discovery, and institutional reference points. It gives traders a way to stop guessing and start organizing price action into a clear decision-making process.

Chris’s approach is direct, practical, and execution-focused. He emphasizes that a trader should know:
What type of market they are trading.
Where price is in relation to value.
Whether the market is balanced or imbalanced.
Where risk can be defined.
What setup is actually present.
When to participate and when to stand aside.

This is the foundation of the Drysdale Trading Group methodology.

The VWAP Wave System

Chris is the author of the VWAP Wave System, a best-selling trading book on Amazon.com that lays out his core trading framework.

The system uses VWAP as the central anchor for understanding market structure. From there, traders learn to combine VWAP bands, volume profile, previous session levels, initial balance, and higher-time-frame context to create a complete auction-based view of the market.

The goal is not to predict every move.

The goal is to recognize the condition of the market and trade only when the structure, location, and risk make sense.

Through the VWAP Wave System, Chris teaches traders how to identify core setups such as price discovery continuation, fades at value area extremes, returns to value, and VWAP bounce opportunities. More importantly, he teaches when those setups are valid, when they are lower quality, and when they should be avoided entirely.

Drysdale Trading Group

Drysdale Trading Group was created for traders who want more than scattered content, random trade ideas, or emotional live trading rooms.

The community is built around education, repetition, and accountability.

Inside Drysdale Trading Group, traders get access to live trading sessions, structured classes, strategy breakdowns, market reviews, member discussions, and a growing library of training centered around the VWAP Wave System.

The focus is not on chasing trades.

The focus is on building skill.

Chris teaches traders to slow down, read the market properly, protect capital, and develop a repeatable process they can trust over time.

Drysdale Trading Group serves futures traders, options traders, newer traders trying to build a foundation, and experienced traders who want more structure in their decision-making.

A Practical Teaching Style

Chris’s teaching style is straightforward, honest, and process-driven.

He does not present trading as easy money. He does not sell the illusion that one setup, one indicator, or one alert can solve everything. Instead, he teaches trading as a performance skill that requires patience, repetition, emotional control, and risk management.

His lessons often focus on the areas where traders struggle most:
Overtrading.
Forcing low-quality setups.
Moving stops.
Chasing after missing entries.
Taking trades without context.
Letting one bad decision become a bad day.
Confusing activity with progress.

Chris believes that trading education should address both the chart and the trader. Technical skill matters, but without discipline, awareness, and emotional control, even a good system can be executed poorly.

That is why Drysdale Trading Group combines market education with execution training, journaling, review, and trader psychology.

More Than a Trading Room

Chris built Drysdale Trading Group to be a serious community for serious traders.

The mission is to help traders move away from gambling behavior and toward professional decision-making. Members are encouraged to think in terms of process, probability, risk, and execution quality instead of simply chasing profits.

The goal is not to take every trade.

The goal is to become the kind of trader who knows which trades deserve capital.

Through live trading, coaching, books, courses, and community education, Chris continues to help traders build the structure they need to last in the markets.

Chris’s Core Philosophy

Chris’s trading philosophy can be summarized in one idea:

Trade with structure. Execute with discipline. Protect your capital first.

Markets will always be uncertain. No system removes risk. No trader wins every day. But with the right framework, a trader can stop reacting emotionally and start making decisions from a place of preparation and clarity.

That is the purpose behind Drysdale Trading Group.

To give traders the education, community, and structure they need to understand the market, manage risk, and pursue consistency with confidence.

Trading involves substantial risk. Drysdale Trading Group provides education and tools only; no result, payout, income, or performance is guaranteed.
